F1 Cockapoo Puppy - Beautiful Fast Learner

We have a beautiful, loving female F1 cockapoo puppy to offer for adoption from a litter of 6 puppies - 4 boys and 2 girls. The pics show her now, as a younger pup, her siblings and her mum and dad (the last 2 photos)

Poppy is 12 weeks old, progressing very well with training, fully vaccinated, sleeps through the night and can start to go out for walks from Mon 2 March. She is also trained to sit, come and go to her crate when she needs her own space.

Her mum is a chocolate cocker spaniel and her dad a KC registered, fully health checked miniature poodle.

Poppy is newly named so there would be no problem in changing her name at this stage if you wanted to. It takes a while for any dog to learn the sounds for their name ;0)

WHY ARE WE RE-HOMING POPPY?
We are a loving family of 5 who got her just a few weeks ago from her lovely breeder. We were very excited about getting a puppy and had spent a long time researching the breed and finding the right puppy. The kids also did fundraising to save up to get her!

Despite this and unfortunately for a few different family reasons, we are struggling to adapt to the needs of our beautiful new puppy especially in light of the specific needs of our family. We have taken on more than we can currently manage at this family life stage.

She is absolutely adorable and the nicest puppy you will ever meet so this is going to be heart-wrenching for us to say goodbye but we know that it will be the right thing for her and that we need to put her needs first.


POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT TRAINING
We have been using positive reinforcement training which is working wonders. She is eager and very quick to learn. She is also great at going to her crate if incentivised with a treat.
Poppy is currently sleeping through the night in her crate and goes out for a night time toilet trip at 10pm. From then she sleeps through the night and makes it all the way through to 6am. No crying in the night or accidents in the past week or so.


WHEN CAN WE TAKE HER OUT FOR WALKS?
She is ready to go out on Monday 2 March for walks on the pavements. After 2 weeks she would be good in fields as long as there is no cattle or stagnant water. On week 3 she is then able to go everywhere.

HEALTH & VACCINATIONS
She is fully health checked, microchipped and has had both first & second vaccinations. Her most recent check up was on 23 Feb 26 when she had her 2nd vaccination. She was given a clean bill of health from the Iffley Vets Wheatley where she is registered and on a care plan currently.

EQUIPMENT AND THINGS YOU WILL NEED
As Poppy has been with us for 3 weeks for a some extra you can buy a full set of things you will need. Bedding, a large crate which has been bought new with her full size in mind but currently has a recommended divider. She also has a good size pen as well as lots of toys and chews and a large amount of butternut box food which will need to be stored in the freezer until you are ready to use it.

POPPY'S MUM
Poppy’s mum is a wonderful chocolate brown Cocker Spaniel. She is loving and has a wonderful temperament. She loves the outdoors and is delightful in every way. Again you would be able to meet her mum (based nr Heathrow airport) if you wanted to.

POPPY'S DAD
Poppy’s Dad is a KC registered chocolate miniature poodle stud called Bentley.
He is cheeky and clever and trained very quickly. He is very obedient and has a calm temperament. He is fully health test cleared.
We are able to provide soft copies of all his paperwork and lineage. We can also provide contact details of the Stud owner who will be very happy to tell you more about Bentley and his lineage.

POPPY'S PERSONALITY
Puppy is lovely, and a very gentle temperament. She is playful and we are training her to settle well and be calm even with the hussle and bussle of family life is going on all around her. In the short time we have had her I have been getting advice from Headington Dog Trainers who we would also highly recommend and provide invaluable advice.

TRAINING
I have Poppy booked on a Puppy Training Course which starts in March which I am sure you will be able to carry on with and keep the space. Most puppy training courses are likely to be booked up for March by this point.

POPPY'S NEEDS NOW
Poppy is just 12 weeks old so still needs around 18 hours sleep. She is currently in a really good routine and feeds 4 times a day. She goes out to the toilet after every sleep, feed and play time. At this age Poppy only needs a small 10 minute playtime or short walks in the garden and then will need time to rest and have some playtime alone.

We currently feed Poppy on Butternut Box – which are fresh and nutritious meals that can be kept in the freezer and the fridge once you open the pack for a few days.
She is very happy with her food and it is suiting her very well. She is putting weight on steadily. There is no reason no to change her food but you may need to phase the current food out over a few days.
